I always knew that fasting is the best the medicine.

According to Ayurveda "Langanam Parama Aushadham”.

But I was always apprehensive about fasting because of my weight.
Since childhood I was always underweight. And after being diagnosed by rheumatoid arthritis my weight dropped further.

Being underweight is also one of the major side effects of having Rheumatoid Arthritis disease. Most of the people suffering from this disease are underweight.
My family and society always told me that I need to eat more in order to gain weight. I started to stuff myself with food but in vain.

This itself indicates that increasing the quantity of food that you eat does not necessary lead to weight gain.So now one of the myth-buster is that eating more quantity of food or more calories does not lead to weight gain.

So why does this happen?

The root cause lies inside the digestive system.
Being affected by the disease of rheumatoid arthritis itself indicates that the digestive system is not functioning efficiently.
As Hippocrates, rightly said that root cause of all disease lies in the gut. So my intestine was not able to assimilate and absorb nutrients from all the food that I was eating. lot of toxins was accumulated around the walls of intestines which was acting as a hindrance in nutrient absorption.

So how do we clean the intestine?

In order to clean the intestine, we need to get rid of the accumulated toxins. And that is possible only with detoxification.
As we all know that fasting is one of the best ways to detoxify your body, and when we opt for juice fasting it also replenishes our body with necessary micronutrients. The micronutrients present in the juice help to repair the damage tissues inside the digestive system.
Slowly our digestive system gets stronger and stronger day by day.
This will help to absorb the nutrients from the food effectively. Which in turn will also help in optimizing the body weight.
Along with optimizing the bodyweight, it will also help to get rid of autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis.

But it is important to do juice fasting under proper guidance and monitoring.

If you have been suffering from autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis then you may face several obstacles and confusion related to juice fasting.
That is the reason it is important to have a mentor who can guide you in the process.
